Beckie Lawson

Beckie started her dancing career as a young girl doing ballet, tap and modern. Moving on to study dance, drama, Theatre Studies and English Literature at Chester University Beckie joined Aspirations Dance school in 1999. During her time there Beckie learned a variety of partner dances, Ballroom, Latin American & Tango Argentino eventually becoming a successful dance teacher in her own right.

After leaving to start her own dance school Beckie continued to increase her dance knowledge through trips to Cuba and added to her qualifications  becoming a Master level Cheerleading Coach and also Becoming the North West Salsa Champion. Beckie was also involved in running, and dancing in, the Chester jets Basketball team cheerleading squad.

After having a baby in 2008 Beckie returned to Aspirations where she ran the streetdance programme and also continued to dance partner dance styles in all disciplines. Beckie became a qualified Zumba instructor in 2010 and her unique blend of the latin dances, streetdance & cheerleading have created a Zumba experience that is being enjoyed all over the Chester & Wrexham area.

When Beckie gets time off from teaching Zumba she can still be found enjoying, teaching and dancing the partner styles at Aspirations Dance and running her own successful, award-winning cheerleading squad - www.cosmicallstars.co.uk
